Romeo and Juliet

The first scene we played from Romeo and Juliet is where Romeo sees Juliet and instantly falls head over heels for her. The song that best describes this scene for me is "How deep is your love" by Bee Gee's. It's very perfect in my opinion since the scene is romantic and starts of as a one-sided romance since it's only Romeo who falls in love with Juliet, and Juliet hasn't even met Romeo but only knows what he looks like. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpqqjU7u5Yc

The next scene is where Tybalt tries to engage a duel and kill Romeo, but instead  he kills Mercutio. The best song that pops in my head for this scene would probably be "Till I collapse" By Eminem. The song fits very well with the way how the scene went, it went from Tybalt trying to kill Romeo but instead ends up killing Mercutio and this gives Romeo the reason to kill Tybalt, Although others will say that modern music has no place in a shakespearan tragedy, but this is my opinion so I probably wouldn't care much.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytQ5CYE1VZw

The 3rd scene is the "balcony sccene". Although chronologically this scene happened after the first scene. The song that fits very well for this scene would be "We won't be alone" by Feint ft. Laura Brehm(acoustic version). The lyrics fit well with this romantic scene.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fE_vNPTMHnw

The 4th scene where Romeo is banished by the Prince from Verona. The scene is very depressing and heartbreaking since Romeo is exiled and the possibility of him meeting Juliet again is close to none. The song that I would choose for this scene would be Juice WRLD and Seezyn's "Hide". The song has a depressing tone to it and the lyrics fit with the scene. A little bit of modern music to this scene wouldn't hurt in my opinion, especially if they are played at the right moment and time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWeGmU-5Y0U

The 5th and last scene I love is the ending, Where Romeo and Juliet die. The irony of this scene, It shows that true love doesn't always end with a happy ending. The song that best describes this would be "Life is good" by Logic. It's ironic that the song title and lyrics are about living a happy life but Romeo and Juliet couldn't live one because of their families. Families and friends shouldn't interfere in the romantic relationship of others since they aren't involved in it. Shakespeare has a very dark sense of literature in my opinion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPRs4RTE2tM
