The Trojan War |
A painter's depiction of the Trojan horse. Hours before the Sacking of Troy occurs.. |
War is often identified by modern people as a state of armed conflict between States, Cities, Empires, Countries, Governments, and etc. Throughout humanities rich history, it is conflict-ridden.
War is well known for the weapons and people who fought in it, but what isn't always known are the people who suffered in it. The casualties, The people who are left homeless, and barely living after the aftermath of war. War is a grueling conflict that affects everyone whether a person fought in it or not. It affects them in all aspects of their lives. Physically, Emotionally, Mentally, or even Spiritually.
The topic of "did the Trojan war really happened" is subject to further evidence since most sources that cite it came from Greek literature. There is no text that clearly tells it happened. But experts and historians still debate and find evidence as to whether this event really happened. But it is safe to assume that the Trojan war as of now is a myth, but this might change if more evidence is found. It really didn't have much of an impact on me or how I resolved my conflict. What I learned from this is that the war could've been prevented if Paris took into account the consequences his actions would have in the future if he chooses Aphrodite. But not every conflict can be solved with violence, and the Trojan war is something you shouldn't lean on advice or self-enlightenment from if solving conflicts without the need for violence. Since the entire event is centered around conflict and bloodshed.
The entire war is as of now a myth or fiction, but this might change in the future if more evidence of its occurrence is found. The war itself as told in the stories and works of literature by the Greeks is very gruesome and horrific. The sacking of Troy was the pivotal event that ended the war. War is very emotionally, physically, mentally exhausting. People die on a daily basis in war. It is best if we protect the peace that we have found after all the two world wars.
